FULL TIME PARAMEDIC FIREFIGHTER POSITION AVAILABLE

 

The Horsham Fire Company No. 1 is seeking to fill a full time Paramedic/Firefighter position.  Horsham Fire Company No. 1 is a combination Fire Department serving the Residents and Businesses of Horsham Township which is located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.  Horsham Fire Company No.1 provides ALS and BLS, Emergency Medical Services along with Fire Suppression and Rescue Services to Horsham Township and the surrounding communities on a mutual aid basis.  The Fire and EMS divisions also provide support services to the Montgomery County HAZMAT Team which includes Decontamination and Medical Monitoring. 

 

Candidates for the Paramedic/Firefighter position should possess the following Minimum Requirements:

 

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • A minimum of one (1) year emergency 9-1-1 experience
  • A minimum of one (1) year full Medical Command Status in Montgomery County
  • Current NREMT-P or PADOH EMT-P Certification
  • Current ACLS Certification
  • Current PHTLS/BTLS and PALS Certification
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Current Pennsylvania Drivers License
  • EVOC
  • HAZMAT Awareness Certification
  • NFPA 1001 Level 1 or Equivalent

 

The following Certifications are preferred requirements for a successful candidate

 

  • Basic Vehicle Rescue Certification
  • Qualified Fire apparatus driver/pump operator
  • HAZMAT Operations Level or higher (TEC)
